We often speak about one version of the truth. All data in one place with complete visibility of everything going on in the business. Authorisation processes for payments, purchases and alike all within one system.
Bringing the cloud to you.
A recent article on the BBC website highlighted the benefits of the cloud. Specifically highlighting how up and coming businesses have taken advantage of cloud technology in order to grow their business and its reach.
The cloud retail market has grown from $4.1bn in 2011 to $15.1bn in 2015. Predictions are showing that by 2020, 75% of US companies will have encorporated the cloud into their business. The world is moving and becoming more remote and flexible. Aided by the cloud.
A Partnership Journey
One of the key areas we work in is the Professional Services Industry, driving control and efficiency into the way the businesses we support work. As part of this blog series I shall run through different elements of a partnership cycle to highlight a standard journey.

Imagine going from London to Paris seven times in three weeks.
Seems like a lot of traveling in a short period?
Now imagine cycling it. Up to 96 hours sat on a saddle which is not much more than a sheet of carbon fibre (remove wince from face before continuing to read). Spread it out over 21 days and you have burnt 70,000 calories. That’s the same amount as 265 beef burgers.
As many of you may have seen recently, Marcus Leathwood and I will be representing Team Sage and Cancer Research in #BeattheCEO to raise money. The aim is to beat the CEO of Sage, Stephen Kelly, by as many minutes as possible as for every minute he is beaten by, he will donate £2, therefore raising as much money for Cancer Research as possible along the way.
At this stage I am confident that we should at least make £60 each from the generous sage of Sage.

As a keen cyclist I always look forward to this time of the year. The Tour de France is the biggest race of the year and sees the most famous riders tackle some of the most challenging and yet beautiful parts of Europe.

The Lazy Man Theorem
Within our everyday lives we have become accustom to things that have the sole purpose of making our lives easier. From remote controls for our televisions to dishwashers because doing the washing up is such a hard task. I recently bought a kettle that an app on my phone boils for me from the comfort of my bed in the morning.

As families grow there is a clear difference in the cars that are parked on their drives. Noticed since little Jimmy’s arrival next door that SLK has been switched for Range Rover? This is down to pure logistics, 2 seats for a 3 person family just isn’t going to work. This is a similar situation to what businesses find with basic finance systems as they experience business growth.
