Today, we will be introducing our Business Development Manager. Please see below our interview with Kessie Merritt.
Q1. When did you join Acuity?
'I joined Acuity in November 2013 and I have spent close to 14 years in and around the Sage channel working for a variety of Sage Business partners in Account Management and New Business.'
Q2. What is your role & key responsibilities?
'New business sales covering Sage Live, Sage 200, Sage 300 and Sage X3. My key responsibilities are winning new customers for Acuity, ensuring that I uphold the company values and providing happy customers who are willing to provide references when needed.'
Q3. In your opinion, what make’s Acuity different?
'Working for Acuity is like working for a large extended family. We may deliver projects all over the world but ultimately we work together to provide a supportive environment for all our staff and customers. Our MD Lee Whelan is still very much hands on, we are treated like individuals and valued for the skills and qualities that each one of us brings to the business. We are not the biggest partner in the channel and this means we can adapt quickly to changes in the market place. There is always something new and exciting to work on at Acuity, we are the only partner to offer the full range of Sage products in the UK which puts us in a unique position when customers come to us for a new Sage implementation.'
Q4. What are your key goals each month?
'Hit my target, provide accurate forecasts, keep CRM up to date!'
Q5. What do you enjoying doing outside of work?
'My two year old daughter takes up most of my spare time but when possible I still enjoy riding. I did own an ex-race horse for seven years and I am hoping that when my little one is big enough we can perhaps get her a pony. We love walking in the Surrey Hills and a stop off at nice country pub is always welcome!'
