Today, we will be introducing our Reporting Specialist. Please see below our interview with Paul Young.
Q1 When did you join Acuity?
'In 2010. Time flies!'
Q2 What is your role & key responsibilities?
'I am a reporting specialist working across the Sage 200, Sage 300, and Sage X3 teams to provide reporting solutions for our customer’s systems. I take an active role in system design to ensure reporting from the system is effective.'
Q3 In your opinion, what make’s Acuity different?
'Teamwork. Wherever you look in life, from a family, a Ryder Cup squad, to a project team, those who work in conjunction with each other with a real eye on the goal of the team and a respect for each other, tend to fall on the side of success.'
Q4 What are your key goals each month?
'As part of the consultancy team at Acuity our tangible goals can be easily measured; on time, in budget, on spec. Personally, I find the intangibles much more satisfying. Building positive, long-term relationships with the customers you work with is a huge part of what I love about my job.'
Q5 What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
'I’m very much loving the shared experience of watching our two baby girls grow up to be their own personalities with my wife; every day they bring us every shade in the rainbow of human emotions. I am a keen, but poor, golfer and am currently enjoying being captain of my golf club which takes up an inordinate portion of my spare time. During my year as captain I am fundraising for the Rocking horse, a charity which helps look after sick children in Sussex and Surrey.'
Look out for our next blog in our Humans of Acuity series where we will be talking to our Sage X3 Support Consultant, Kobus De Wet.
